Sheila Richards studied recorder at Lancaster University and later, with Philip Thorby, at Trinity College of Music. She has been teaching recorder in and around South East London for the past twenty years and is currently director of the Horniman Recorder Players. Until recently she performed as part of the Willobie Consort giving concerts and educational demonstrations. Sheila is also a keen arranger of music for recorder ensemble and in 2001 started Willobie Press which publishes some of her work.
